Four policemen have been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation for allegedly killing MBA student Ranvir Singh in a fake encounter on July 3 in Dehradun.Three policemen have already been arrested in the case on October 14. Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Abhinav Kumar said policemen Nitin Chauhan, Chandramohan Rawat, Neeraj Yadav and Rajesh Bisht were arrested late on Friday night and were produced before the special CBI court on Saturday.
A curfew was imposed in Haldwani on Thursday after local residents set vehicles and a police station on fire and hurled stones, injuring more than 60 people, over the demolition of an 'illegally built' madrasa and an adjoining mosque, officials said.
